11.9.2010: My First Birthday as a Mrs.

Dear Online Diary,

Yes, it's my first birthday as a wifey today and I was touched to see hubby’s surprises for me this morning.

I was awaken by a Happy Birthday song playing loudly (somehow gave me the chills since papa Noel used to do the same on each family member's birthday). I thought I'll see hubby beside me but I found a gift with a funny note:

He suddenly appeared and said that he has plans for us today so I better get going. I just want to share how sweet he is. :))

Followers of this blog may remember how heartbroken I was when I lost all our wedding files and inspiration saved on our home computer. Many, many thanks to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named (No, not Voldemort. The "donor" wished not to mention his name) who gave me this lappy for my personal use. How cool is that? Now, blogging and wedding preps will be so much fun!

I also would like to extend my gratitude to those who remembered and sent their love through friendster, this blog, my email and sms. Love you all! =)

It’s My Birthday! Yey!

Yes, it’s my natal day. Of my 20+ years of existence, I’ve experienced a lot to help me live my life to the fullest. I would never cease learning and exploring the world we live in and all the blessings God has given me.

I only have three wishes today:
1… (for the world, esp for the Philippines)
2… (for my family, H2B’s family, our friends and relatives)
3… (for our wedding & marriage)

What? Wishes are supposed to be secret, right? So I’m keeping mine. It’s just between me and our Creator. I’m thankful that I was given another year, a loving H2B and a family to celebrate my life with. Let’s celebrate! =)

H2B’s Surprise Birthday Bash

It was H2B’s 27th birthday last Sunday, 30th of August, and a day after MJ’s birthday. Although it’s a very special day for him, he wanted to keep it simple. His plan was to surprise his family with food-ala-fiesta when we got back home from the mall. He did not have any idea that we, together with his brother, think otherwise.

As promised, I'd like to share what happened on that blessed and most special day. Here was the plan:
1. Send a message the night before to his brother to finalize the plan.
2. Ask H2B to pick me up at around 9:00 am so we can attend the Sunday mass.
3. "Drag" him to SM Southmall to have the winning Bride-Groom logos printed with extra shopping to kill time. (Side note: I had to use the word "drag" because H2B did not want to go to the mall. It was the weekend sale so the traffic was horrible and the crowd was unmanageable.)
4. Secretly send text messages to his brother to get an update as to what was happening at home.
5. Surprise, surprise, surprise!

I commend his brother for being resourceful. He was able to execute our plan perfectly. From the pizza-turned cake to the way they surprised him as soon as we arrived.

We're both thankful to God because we enjoyed the day and we love how it turned out. =)
