The Royal Details: Highlights of the Royal Wedding

Prince William and Kate Middleton, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge exchanged royal vows and sacrament of marriage inside the enormous and historical Westminster Abbey last April 29, 2011.

It was such a solemn and elegant wedding so let us take a look at some royal wedding details and highlights:

{The royal wedding cakes made by Fiona Cairns (designed using the Joseph Lambeth technique) and McVitie's Cake Company (a chocolate biscuit cake for the reception at Buckingham Palace), respectively.}

{Kate Middleton wore two different gowns for the evening reception at the palace (left) and for the wedding service (right)}

{Kate Middleton waves to the crowd as she arrived at the Westminster Abbey. She's being assisted by her sister and maid of honor, Pippa Middleton.}

{Kate flashes a nervous smile just before walking down the aisle.}

{I can't help but adore the nice trees inside the Westminster Abbey as the bridal march begun.}

{Shortly after Kate started walking down the aisle, Prince William marches to the altar with his brother, Prince Harry.}

{Lovely fascinators! It is customary to British Royalty women to wear fascinators and hats when attending a wedding service.}

{The altar of Westminster Abbey is breath-taking.}

{I love how Prince William and Kate exchange looks while exchanging vows.}

{The simple wedding ring.}

{Prince William and Kate lead the parade to Buckingham Palace after the wedding service.}

{While we (some couple) normally end their wedding with fireworks, the newly wed couple and the whole royal family watch the Royal Air force flypast at the balcony of the Buckingham Palace.}

That's the Royal wedding madness. I hope that you gained inspiration for your own wedding.
